The Public Services (Social Value) Bill – a revolution in contracting for social outcomes?

The Public Services (Social Value) Bill (“the Bill”) had its fi rst reading in the House of Lords late in November 2011. First introduced to the House on June 30 2010, it is a Private Member’s Bill introduced by Chris White, Conservative MP for Warwick and Leamington.

The Bill sets out plans for strategies at national and local level which detail how to promote engagement with Social Enterprises.
